After returning to Earth on August 19, 1979, Lyakhov and Ryumin set a new record of the duration of the space flight 175 d 0 h 35 m 37 s (4200 h 35 m 37 s). They surpassed the record of the expedition 2 of Salyut 6. Valeriy Ryumin also became the owner of the largest cumulative time in space: 177 d 1 h 20 m 22 s (4249 h 20 m 22 s).
